In pressure cooker add green gram (pasiparupu), turmeric, asafetida, water and garlic and close it with the weight on |

Once the high steam comes turn to low heat and let it cook for 10 mts |

Then add the spinach (cleaned and chopped into smaller bits) green chili, chili powder, salt and some extra water to cook. Do not close the lid

In a frying pan season the mustard seeds with urid dal and red chili, when they pop remove the pan pour the seasoned ingredients into the open cooker which is boiling |
