Indian VANDAKA FRY Recipe - Time 15-20 minutes - Serves 4

Indian PAVAKA FRY recipe

INGREDIENTS (Serves 4)

Pavaka /bitter guard 5 medium chopped
Red big Onions 1 medium size
red Chili 6
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Garlic 5 pods
lemon juice 3 tsp
Coconut flakes 1/4 cup
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Salt to taste

STEP BY STEP METHOD

Steps

Method
1 Wash pavaka, slit them both sides. Boil them with salt,lemon juice and turmeric for 5 minutes. Allow to cool,strain water and keep aside ´
2 Grind onion, red chili, coconut powder, cumin powder and garlic coarsely
3 Fry it in oil till it gets fine aromatic flavour. Stuff the masala in each pavaka evenly
4 Turn pavaka gently without spilling masala
5 Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
